Tom Heyden

Tom Heyden is an experienced, award-winning documentary filmmaker and multimedia journalist, based in London, UK, with previous stints working in Mexico, Colombia and southern Africa.
 

He has worked extensively with the BBC across multiple mediums and departments, including BBC World News TV, BBC Digital Current Affairs, BBC Stories, BBC Earth and BBC Earthlab.

Mostly working in digital filmmaking, he enjoys working across all aspects of the film production process - from researching and scripting, to filming, editing, animating, presenting and narration. More recently he's been the senior producer on numerous successful BBC Studios Science Unit series for BBC Earth, managing a small team under extremely tight deadlines.

He very rarely speaks in the third person and found writing all of the above particularly awkward.
